Learning Russian doesn’t have to mean spending hours memorising textbook dialogues or grammar rules. My goal is to make our lessons feel like a real conversation with a friend:).

I want to get to know you, understand your interests, personality and goals, and use them to make our lessons relevant to you. Instead of overused textbook dialogues, we can talk about things you actually care about: from your hobbies and everyday life to current events, politics, culture, travel and real-life situations. This way, you’ll naturally build vocabulary and improve your speaking skills while learning how Russian is actually used.

As a native Russian speaker from Kazakhstan, I can also introduce you to the language and culture beyond what you might find in a textbook. I will adapt our lessons to your level and focus on whatever you need most, whether that is conversation, grammar, pronunciation or vocabulary.

Although I am relatively new to teaching Russian specifically, I have experience teaching English to displaced Ukrainian students. This taught me how to be patient, supportive and flexible, and how to adapt my approach to different learners.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and speaking without fear of being judged. My goal is not just to teach you Russian, but to help you genuinely enjoy using it??.
