My lessons are relaxed, friendly and tailored to each child’s individual needs and learning style. I’ll begin by finding out what they already know and which areas they would like extra help with. I’ll then explain topics clearly, work through examples together and use questions, activities and practice tasks to help them build confidence.

I’m patient and encouraging, and I’m happy to explain something in different ways if a child is struggling to understand it. I want lessons to feel enjoyable rather than stressful, while still helping children make progress and feel proud of what they can achieve. I can also help with homework, revision and preparing for tests.

I am 16 years of age so I understand the stress of education at a young age. Having younger siblings means I have to go through it all over again, seeing them succeed because of my help makes me enjoy helping others.
