I am currently studying at Durham university after achieving A*AA in History, Sociology, and Religious Education A-levels. I have great experience in tutoring both A-level and GCSE students, as I have taught over 100 lessons with 5+ students and have a 5 star rating on other tutoring platforms.
When conducting lessons I like to first concentrate on ensuring that the student has a solid foundation of understanding, as it is important to have a firm grasp on the basics before complicating revision and exam techniques. Only after a student understands the subject can they look at achieving consistent high marks as they know what is the difference between a B/C and a A*/A answer.
I also love to get to know the student and their interests, as I often use or incorporate their passions into learning to ensure a more engaging session. For instance, If a student were to enjoy music I would use examples of music or pick up on patterns within music and music industry which demonstrate what we are studying to encourage their involvement.
In tutoring it is important to combine intensive learning with getting to know and understand a student, and this is something I focus on delivering, if you choose to learn with me I guarantee in-depth personal lessons that can be tailored depending on the student's particular needs or wants. Your child is the focus of these lessons, and I aim to ensure they feel both accommodated for whilst also being challenged to think and work independently.
