I like to assess the student’s understanding of the topic and gauge their learning style to design lessons around them as an individual and cater to how they understand content. I recap last lesson’s content briefly before introducing this lesson, then guide their learning through questions and examples to deepen their understanding.
I encourage many questions and regularly check in to make sure they are following with the content, and adjust accordingly if required.
I work with professional resources alongside the national curriculum, and also implement wider learning to give a holistic understanding of the subject. I integrate real world examples into my lessons so that the content can be immediately applied and better remembered. I focus primarily on understanding and developing a passion for the subject rather than just memorising things to pass the exam.
