Amanda Wade

Hello, I’m Amanda — a former teacher with ten years of classroom experience and a real passion for helping children develop early reading, writing and number skills. Phonics has always been one of my key strengths, and I love supporting children as they learn to blend sounds, read with confidence, and enjoy books.

I aim to make my lessons as fun and interactive as possible.
Whether I am teaching online or in person, I will always use visual resources and a range of games that will re-enforce the learning.
I like to set simple targets that we can work together to complete and I will keep you up to date with progress checks throughout your sessions.
Throughout my teaching career, I had the chance to work with students, with a variety of needs and from different nationalities and backgrounds.
My aim is to help each child feel capable, motivated and proud of what they can do.
