The best feature of one-to-one tutoring is that it can be dynamic and specific to each student. My teaching methods start by discovering the areas in which a student may be struggling with and finding the best strategy to approach these areas. I think that practice questions are vitally important in getting students exam ready, and that sometimes students need concepts reiterated to be fully understood. The same approach won't necessarily work for different students, so I will tailor the content accordingly and be sure to prepare plenty of practice questions and study material ahead of each session. I will listen to feedback from the student to learn which methods were effective and which were less so for their preferred learning methods. Additionally, I will work towards discovering the areas which a student may not yet have identified as a weakness.

I have a lot of experience with studying and revising, which has helped me to achieve a first class Master's degree in aerospace engineering. I have a great understanding of what methods work for me, but I recognise that these won't work for every student, and I am eager to practice alternative learning methods that will help me in my career as a physics teacher. I have good technological know-how that will enable me to run streamlined and engaging remote lessons. I understand that physics is a difficult subject and that seeking help with any subject is a sign of commitment to academic success.
