Amaani Nazir

I design lessons plans with my students, setting realistic and achievable goals, and playing to the strengths of each student while improving their weaknesses. I have previously taught by going through content first with interactive whiteboards, and following up with past questions to apply and consolidate knowledge.

I like to tailor lessons to students needs, depending on their learning style - if they are visual, auditory, reading/writing, and/or kinesthetic. I am always open to and appreciate feedback, let's design our lessons together to get the most out of them for you!

I thoroughly enjoyed mentoring during sixth form, and I believe this allowed me to develop my communication and interpersonal skills, as well as picking up on subtle cues from students when the session isn't going the way they expected or if they need further explanations. I also enjoyed mentoring at a children's orphanage called Village of Hope in Ghana, where I learnt from so many experiences and use them in my day to day life!

I was very lucky with my teachers during my A levels, they were all so supportive and inspired me to play a similar role in other students' lives, and genuinely make a difference to their educational journey. I believe I can draw on all my experiences and coupled with feedback, make the sessions as productive as possible for my students :)
