I have several years of tutoring experience, having started at a tutoring centre before moving into private tutoring with students more recently. This has given me experience working with different ages, abilities and learning styles, as well as adapting lessons to what each student needs.

My lessons are personalised rather than following a fixed format. I usually begin by identifying the areas the student feels less confident in, then explain the topic clearly before working through examples together. I like to make lessons interactive by asking students to explain their thinking, attempt questions themselves and work through exam-style problems with my guidance.

For Maths and Biology in particular, I focus on making difficult concepts easier to understand and helping students develop a method they can use independently. I also adapt the pace and difficulty throughout the lesson depending on how the student is progressing.

My aim is for students to leave each lesson not only knowing how to answer a particular question, but understanding the underlying concept and feeling more confident tackling similar questions on their own.
