My sessions are relaxed, conversational and student-led.There's no script, and no lecture. We start by figuring out what's actually going on underneath the stress, the procrastination or the lack of confidence, because those are almost always symptoms of something else: overwhelm, fear of failure, or simply not having the tools to manage a busy workload. Once we've named that, we build a practical plan together.

I bring a counselling and hypnotherapy background to this, alongside a Life Coach Diploma and several years working directly with young people in a school setting as a higher-level teaching assistant with pastoral and SEND responsibilities. That means I'm used to supporting students who are struggling, not just academically but emotionally, and I know how to hold space for that without making a big deal of it.

Sessions typically include:

Goal-setting that's realistic, not aspirational fluff
Practical study habits and time management techniques
Building genuine self-confidence
Simple tools for managing stress and anxiety in the moment
Regular check-ins to track progress and adjust the plan

I don't do 'Motivational speeches' I listen and ask questions. I help you work out your own answers because that's what actually sticks. My approach is warm and non-judgemental, but also honest: if something isn't working, I'll say so, kindly.

Whether it's one session before an exam or ongoing support through a tricky term, my goal is the same... that students leave feeling better than when they arrived.
