Aliza Jonker

After 7 years as a high school English Teacher and junior head of department in a top private school, I decided to leave the school environment to focus on extra English lessons.

I have experience in teaching students with learning difficulties who need foundational work, as well as high achieving students focusing on nuance. Additionally, I cultivated and taught Advanced Programme English.

I work solely online with a shared screen or interactive documents, and therefore very hands on. I make it a priority that each of my students feels safe and guided in each lesson. I focus on everything from language and grammar to writing skills and literature.

I personally enjoy providing structures in theory, using colours as a tool for learning and focusing on practice. However, each lesson is student-centered and I teach according to each student's needs and abilities.
