I have six years of teaching experience in total. I've been tutoring for four years and am familiar with how to teach students in a way that suits them best. Before I started tutoring, I worked as a teaching assistant at Kumon for 2 years.
I am familiar with the British curriculum and work with my students to build their confidence by adapting my teaching and lesson plans according to their learning styles. I make note of each student’s progress and provide regular feedback to the student and parents/ guardians.
My lessons are focused on exam practice and technique. I've found that students learn best by doing, and so I tailor my sessions to be filled with exam-style questions at every step. This means that by the time the exam comes around, my students are already very familiar with the style of questions that will come up.
My lessons are structured to get the most out of each session, but I also ensure that students feel comfortable enough to ask as many questions as they need to. I do my best to not just help my students understand the lesson material, but to help them have a wider appreciation of maths, so that their independent learning is more enjoyable. My aim is for them to leave each lesson not only understanding the topic, but feeling better equipped to tackle new problems on their own.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions! I look forward to working with you.
