I am a current teacher of over 20 years experience. My aim is always to make highly individual and adapted lessons that have clear aims and outcomes. Lessons are paced based on student need and focus on using evidence based methods to ensure new content is grounded upon secure prior knowledge. I beleive all students are able to make exceptional progress from their starting points when given the right support and tools.
My experience allows me to cover exam board content but also to apply this to real world scenarios. Disciplinary knowledge, investigative skills and exam techniques are all built into sessions and can be focused on as required. I encourage students to ask questions and all sessions will look at exam questions and answers. I use a positive approach and give students lots of feedback .
My background as a specialist inclusion leader allows me to support students who may have a range of learning, cognitive or SEMH needs. I am fully trauma and attachment aware. I have the patience to get to know students and what works for them and can support with ECHP/IEP targets.
