Alison Berglas

I am passionate about teaching and I have been teaching for over 20 years. I enjoy the satisfaction of seeing students progress and dealing with the challenges they face to ensure they get the best from their lessons.

I design lessons to suit individual goals and needs and as I am learning Italian myself, I understand the importance of a patient and flexible tutor who will make the lessons enjoyable as well as useful.

I want students to feel confident to use their language skill every day. Not by drilling or repetition but by using fun methods to start speaking naturally and with ease.

I encourage students to ask questions and suggest topics to learn. Grammar is important but so is just speaking regularly and without fear until they can hold a conversation with ease.

I have qualifications in TEFL and TESOL and a City & Guilds Certificate in Teaching Foundation.

I run an online course in Teeline shorthand and we have students from all over the world and regularly run group and private online lessons.
