Through my own art education, I learnt the importance of exploration alongside techniques - or as I have been heard to say before, "the rules of art (colour, shape, form, texture) are all here to be broken, first you learn the rules of art, then you make art by breaking them".

I am able to facilitate lessons in colour theory/mixing, how to approach and work with different paint mediums (watercolour, gouache, acrylic, oil), sketching in both graphite and colour pencils, as well as experimenting with mixed media including textiles.
I specialise in oil painting with interpretative narrative, working on both small and large scale.
