I am an enthusiastic and engaging tutor with over 5 years of experience behind me (both in-person and online). I mainly teach Maths from KS3 up to GCSE level.

In my lessons, I prefer to use an example-based teaching method - this means that we'll dive straight into answering some questions and learn as we go. For new topics, this means that I'll normally walk you through a few questions first, explaining why we carry out each step and checking that you understand. Then, once you have understood how to solve a question, I will encourage you to solve some more by yourself, explaining your thought process as you go along. And of course, I will be happy to help if you get stuck!

Seeing my tutees become more confident as their grades improve is incredibly rewarding, and in order to achieve this I tailor my teaching style to each individual student, ensuring that they can engage as effectively as possible with the content. I am a patient and encouraging teacher, and I always try to find alternative ways of explaining more challenging concepts to students if they are struggling.

I typically conduct my lessons on Zoom and will share my screen so we can use it as a whiteboard. Then, when we are solving questions together, you can simply work on paper and tell me the steps you are taking, and I will write them on my screen.
