My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I aim to explain mathematical concepts clearly and break down challenging topics into manageable steps.
At the beginning of a lesson, we'll identify the areas the student finds difficult and set goals for what we'd like to achieve. We'll work through examples together, practise questions and gradually progress to exam-style problems. I encourage students to ask questions whenever they're unsure, as I believe understanding the method is just as important as getting the correct answer.
Having recently completed my GCSEs and now studying Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-level, I understand the challenges students face when preparing for GCSE exams. During my GCSEs, I helped friends understand difficult topics and improve their grades by up to two grades. I also gained experience supporting children's learning through work experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school.
I can adapt lessons to suit different abilities, whether a student needs help with the fundamentals, wants to strengthen their understanding of specific topics or would like to practise exam questions and improve their exam technique.
My aim is to make Maths feel less intimidating, help students become more independent learners and build their confidence over time. I want every student to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and celebrating their progress.
Together, we'll work towards their personal goals at a pace that suits them, focusing on steady progress and developing skills they can use independently in their future studies and examinations.
