I am a patient and approachable tutor with experience supporting secondary school students through one-to-one Maths tutoring. I focus on building both understanding and confidence, as I believe many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because concepts have not been explained clearly in a way that suits them.

My lessons are structured around each student’s individual needs. I begin by identifying weaker topics and areas of difficulty, then work through them step-by-step using clear explanations and worked examples. I break down complex problems into simple methods, helping students understand the reasoning behind each step rather than just memorising answers.

A key part of my teaching is consistent practice. I use targeted exam-style questions to reinforce understanding and help students become more comfortable with how topics appear in assessments. I also focus on exam technique, showing students how to approach questions efficiently and avoid common mistakes.

I adapt my teaching style depending on the student. Some benefit from more guided support, while others prefer to attempt questions independently with feedback. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence.

Through my tutoring experience, I have developed strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to explain ideas in multiple ways. My goal is to help students improve their performance while also feeling more confident and capable in Maths.
