My lessons are engaging, fun, and carefully structured to support effective learning. I follow a clear 5-part lesson approach to ensure each session is purposeful and builds confidence.

I begin by activating prior knowledge, which allows me to assess each child’s current understanding. This is followed by a short starter activity to get them thinking and engaged. I then provide clear input, explaining key concepts in a way that is easy to understand. During the “we do” phase, I work alongside the child to break down skills step by step before moving on to the “they do” stage, where they can apply their learning independently.

This structure ensures strong consolidation of knowledge and helps children feel secure in their learning. I also adapt my teaching in real time, responding to each child’s needs to provide the right level of support and challenge throughout the lesson.

Over the past three years, I have gained valuable classroom experience through a range of school placements, working across the primary age range (5–11). Most recently, I completed a full-term placement where I took on the role of class teacher, planning and delivering lessons, assessing progress, and supporting pupils on a daily basis. I will be graduating in Spring 2026 as a qualified primary teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

These experiences have given me a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, as well as the confidence to adapt my teaching to meet the needs of different learners. I have worked with children of varying abilities, including those who need additional support and those who benefit from further challenge. This has strengthened my ability to build positive relationships, boost confidence, and help children make clear progress in their learning.

As a tutor, I bring energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed. I strive to make learning enjoyable and engaging, while also ensuring each session has clear progress and purpose. I am committed to helping every child feel confident in their abilities and proud of what they achieve.
