I teach at my place in Highgate on a grand piano in a very comfortable double reception room. I describe precisely and patiently how to produce the most efficient pianistic movement. I teach a wide repertoire and encourage my students to genuinely play the piano rather than just dialling the keys. I also teach the theory of music in a very clear way. My forte is that I teach not only to enjoy the sound, but also the actual movement and the feeling of control over the piano keys which makes the activity more enjoyable, natural and healthy. Although, I mainly concentrate on classical music, I encourage students to play also some popular and jazz compositions. I encourage students to perform at any opportunity and akso teach how to create such opportunities. For advanced students I make a really precious contribution towards their understanding of expression which can make their playing really standing out of other performers which is invaluable for those who want to play in piano competitions. I also teach all ages and levels and complete beginners are also welcome. I prefer very motivated students, but can also motivate them to advance. My students have a chance to learn the techniques which would promote playing without generating tension in their lower arms which is really hugely important. For this I explain precisely what muscles should provide with the weight and which have to be totally relaxed. My students will also learn advanced pedalling to affect a very clear performance.
