In the beginning, we will work together to identify the specific areas for improvement that we need to work on. We will also spend some time getting to know each other so that future lessons can be more personalized and tailored to you, your interests and your personal goals. From then, tailored lessons will focus on those areas that require improvement.

In our lessons, I like to use resources and materials from many different sources, and like to relate new concepts, vocabulary, grammar and general practice to your own personal experience. After the input/teaching stage, wee will have a lot of productive practice, discussing the content and/or conducting tailored writing/speaking tasks. I especially love focused discussions with students of all ages on the content we learn. Therefore, there will be much time in class given to practicing the language we learn.

I always like to provide specific and meaningful feedback on the tasks we complete together. This means I can facilitate the learning, and then provide continuous feedback to help you see the improvements you are making. This is a crucial step in the learning process. That I take.very seriously.

A typical 1-hour+ lesson would therefore include:
(1) 5-10 minutes of catch up and discussion on general topics.
(2) 1-2 minutes previewing of what we will focus on I'm the class.
(3) 1-2 minutes reviewing/checking on previous lesson's content or any homework (for consistency).
(4) 15-30 minutes of input/new learning.
(5) 10-20 minutes of productive practice with feedback.
(6) 2-3 minutes of feedback/review of the lesson, and look ahead to next lesson.
