I am a PhD mathematics graduate from KCL and the University of Warwick with over 4 years of teaching experience. The content that we can cover could range between consolidating GCSE knowledge, preparing for A-level maths/further maths content to looking at university admissions tests or modules. I'll try to bridge the gap between what you already know and what is considered challenging new content. Having plenty of mathematics experience allows me to spontaneously present instructive content, tailored to your requirements whether you're looking to pass your A-levels or looking to excel in your STEP examination.
Maths is one of those subjects that builds from itself, and it can be quite frustrating to not have a maths specialist for one academic year, causing lack of interest and ability. I find particularly that maths is best learned in discussion with your peers, especially when looking at questions that perhaps are not as easy as simple calculations. Learning how to logically work through problems and building up your analytical skills is not just useful in maths, but also other STEM subjects, humanities, strategy games/hobbies, and helps you think critically about current affairs too!
I am available to tutor 1-to-1 or in a small group (no extra charge!) for up to 2 hours per session at an affordable rate. Flexible online sessions are available as well as in-person within my local catchment area.
