How many people do you know who got 236/240 on their math GCSE? I'm guessing not many. I am 16 which does not mean I am incompetent but rather I am able to understand my students better than a 50 year-old you've never met. Math is my passion and I will be taking Math, Further Math and additional math credits this year. All of this while being a devoted athlete to UFCA and running track competitively. When you live a busy life like me you need to truly understand what you're doing to succeed in any area. Math comes naturally to me but because of that I am able to comprehend not only the what but the why. I believe that the why is what makes a topic stick. If you look at a question it could be robotic and you go though the standard steps. Or it could be you look at it and use logical steps to work it out because you know the why. The robotics of the what get you through a few topics, but over time they add up and it becomes more confusing than it needs to be. When you know the why it may not instantly click but the chances are, you will get that question right. I taught my rugby player friend all the basics over the time I studied GCSEs. He went from single digit scores on practice exams to a strong 6, just by sitting next to me twice a week. If you want to take a fail to a strong pass in your busy life, or want to strive for more and get that cushy 9, I will ensure that you will walk into that exam confident in knowing you will achieve your goals.
