My lessons are designed to be supportive, engaging, and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I understand that every pupil learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit their confidence level, learning pace, and preferred way of working. My aim is always to create a calm and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
Lessons would typically begin with a short discussion or recap to identify areas the pupil feels confident in and topics they may need more support with. From there, I would use a mixture of explanation, interactive activities, guided practice, and independent tasks to keep lessons varied and engaging. I also believe positive reinforcement and regular feedback are important in helping children stay motivated and recognise their progress.
I have four years of experience working in primary schools, including 19 months as an unqualified teacher, where I planned and delivered lessons, supported pupils with different learning needs, and helped children build both academic skills and self-confidence. My experience has taught me how important patience, adaptability, and clear communication are when supporting young learners.
Above all, I want my lessons to feel positive, approachable, and enjoyable while helping pupils make meaningful progress.
