My lessons are one-to-one, either in person in London or online, and cover maths and coding at any level, from complete beginners to students preparing for exams.

Before we start, I'll ask what you're working on and where you're getting stuck. If you're at school, it helps to see your homework, past papers or coursework so I can match what you're doing in class. From there, I plan each lesson around what you need rather than following a fixed script.

When I introduce a new topic, I explain it in depth, covering not just the method but why it works. I'll go through several worked examples, starting simple and building up, so you see the same idea from different angles. Then it's your turn. You work through problems yourself while I ask questions to guide you, and if something doesn't click, I'll explain it a different way instead of repeating the same explanation. Mistakes are fine. Working out why an answer is wrong is one of the best ways to learn.

In coding lessons, you'll be writing code from the first session. We start with the basics and move on to building small programs and projects, so you learn how to think through a problem, not just memorise syntax. I teach Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Java and SQL.

At the end of each lesson, I'll recap what we covered and set some practice so you can build confidence before the next session. For younger students, I'm happy to give parents a quick update on progress.
