Alan Pohl

I'm an experienced Electrical and Computer Engineer. I specialise in a variety of programming languages and in electrical engineering. My tutoring style focuses on tailoring my lessons to each individual by identifying knowledge gaps and addressing them first.

I am a calm and patient person with experience working with those with Special Educational Needs and students with low confidence. I aim to uplift and empower students by showing them what they can achieve and guiding them along that path. I will provide hands-on learning, working through examples together and teaching the student not only how to solve the problem but also teaching them the way of thinking which will make future problems easier.

My broad background provides context for what I teach, and I can explain how these skills are used in industry. I teach best practices that prepare students not just for exams but for the working world, providing habits that will serve them well.
