This course enables delegates to be able to grasp the understanding of the Revit building information modelling software as a design and documentation system that supports the design, drawings and schedules required for a building project. Since Revit uses parameters to model buildings, it not only creates 3D geometric information but also adds valuable information to these graphic elements. For example a window can have basic information of materials and dimension. It can also include light transmittance, thermal resistance(R value) and heat transfer coefficient (U value) information for energy analysis. We can add manufacturer, model, cost, and URL (Uniform Resource Locator) information for this window, thus making the created model very comprehensive and useful.
