In my style of teaching, I like to assess the student on their current academic abilities, and then create a completely personalised and unique plan for our journey to meet and even exceed their academic goals. For this, I will use a single starter assessment session, from which I will gain sufficient information to produce a full plan (which can take anywhere from 1-4 days).

I strongly believe that absolutely everyone has within them the ability to conquer maths to a high standard of expertise, so my lessons are very much the opposite of lectures, rather being similar to a conversation: I like to not directly teach someone the content as it can be quite easily forgettable. Instead, I like to ask questions that will guide you to figuring out how something works, allowing you to utilise and thus consolidate your existing skills, while allowing you to more meaningfully learn mathematical concepts. In doing so, your ability to understand new concepts and making connections with old concepts will gradually improve to the point at which new concepts should click in your head almost instantly. Having 2 years of tutoring experience and a deep understanding of the GCSE math content (and below), I trust that I will be able to find a viewpoint from which you learn the best, which you will also help me find by giving me feedback on how you feel you understood the lesson and how enjoyable it was. So, despite potentially having a slower start, your progress will almost definitely be exponential.

I am not limited to teaching maths: I completed my GCSEs in the summer of 2025, so I have fresh in my head everything that you need to do to succeed in your GCSEs (or whatever other academic period you are in right now), and am happy to mentor anyone who would want that. As you may be able to tell from my teaching style, I am rather conversational and will do my best to keep lessons light-hearted while still giving you an optimal learning experience, so I hope not only to help you exceed your ambitions, but also that we can become friends along our journey of helping you flourish.
