My lessons are relaxed, interactive, and tailored to each student’s individual goals and learning style. I use a conversational immersion approach, where students learn English naturally through real life discussions, interactive activities, scenario based learning, and confidence building exercises rather than memorisation alone. This helps students feel comfortable using English in everyday situations while improving fluency, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary in a more engaging way.
Lessons can include conversational practice, reading comprehension, writing support, pronunciation exercises, and personalised activities depending on the student’s needs and level. I aim to create a supportive environment where learning feels enjoyable, encouraging, and pressure free. I understand that every student learns differently, so I always adapt my teaching style to suit their pace and confidence level. Some students may prefer structured grammar focused lessons, while others benefit more from relaxed conversations and practical speaking exercises. My goal is to make sure each lesson feels productive without becoming overwhelming.
I also believe confidence is one of the most important parts of learning a language. Many learners already know more English than they realise but feel nervous about speaking or making mistakes. In my lessons, mistakes are treated as part of the learning process, helping students feel more comfortable expressing themselves naturally and without fear of judgement. I enjoy using topics that students are genuinely interested in, whether that is travel, culture, business, academics, hobbies, or everyday life, as this keeps lessons engaging and helps English feel relevant to real situations.
Growing up in an international primary school, I was surrounded by students from different countries, many of whom were still learning English. This gave me early experience communicating with non native English speakers and understanding different learning styles. Later, while attending boarding school in Africa, I also spent time helping people I encountered outside of school improve their English through conversation and everyday communication. These experiences helped me become patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping others gain confidence in English.
