Currently in my final year pursuing a BSc in Psychology at Queen Margaret University, I have consistently demonstrated my dedication and passion for the field through academic excellence. I have recently written my dissertation using interviews as a basis for data collection, on the topic of resilience within the genderqueer community. Having then received an A in this work with intention to graduate this summer. My coursework has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of psychological principles, research methodologies, and critical analysis, all of which I am eager to share with students to facilitate their learning and development. My personal areas of skill include Qualitative research and Social Psychology amongst others. Whilst I have no previous experience in tutoring this subject, I would be able to adapt, tailoring sessions to meet the students specific academic needs. Each session would be designed to be casual yet productive, fostering a comfortable environment where questions are encouraged and concepts are clarified. I would use an online format to allowing for flexibility whilst keeping a friendly and approachable manner. Sessions would be carefully sequenced to build upon prior knowledge and scaffold new concepts in a way that is accessible and meaningful to students. This approach empowers students to take ownership of their learning journey, building confidence and resilience along the way. I personally understand and recognise the challenges students face regarding complex psychological theories and unfamiliar terminology, however I aim to help students through this with understanding, clarity and patience. Whether you're struggling with homework, preparing for exams, or simply want to deepen your understanding, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. No question is too silly, Psychology can be confusing!
