In my lessons , I have a format where I teach the students and then answer any questions they have regardless of how specific they are if they do not understand the content or need their memory refreshing. If they are revising content , they can tell me the topics that they need extra guidance with and then I can prepare that lesson for them ; giving them leniency in what we cover in a session. I am under the belief that our dynamic should be quite professional however I do try and create an opening , welcome and pleasant atmosphere with my pupils so that they can share any anxieties or worries that they are facing regarding geography or any exams for that matter.
