Ahona Islam

Hi, my name is Ahona. I am a 2nd year university student studying biochemistry. I personally love anything science and maths and would love to share my passion with more people. I am friendly, enthusiastic and patient. I am also a people person so I love meeting and interacting with other people.
I had tutors during my GCSEs and A levels and I found them extremely helpful so now, that I have more knowledge and experience I would like to pass on my teaching and help others get their best grades.

I have been teaching for 3 years now at a tutoring centre for KS2, KS3 and GCSEs. I also did it along side my a levels in yr 13. I think the fact that I also recently did my a levels and GCSEs contribute to my teaching style and tricks.

I think everyone learns very differently and from teaching for the previous 3 years, I know how to adapt my teaching style for someone’s personal need. Before I start teaching, I would like to get to know you and what your goals from these sessions will be, it is important to establish a clear sets of goals for maximum efficiency. Also I would like for you to come to the lesson prepared, knowing exactly what you would like to learn and what you need helps with is very crucial. And even if you don’t know how to do that I will teach you how to identify your weaknesses and strengths. I do also like to give occasional mini tests for both of us to see progression ( do not worry it will never be a surprise). I will also provide materials that I have gathered myself to help you learn and test yourself.
