What are your lessons like?
My lessons are structured, highly interactive, and focused on building a deep, intuitive understanding of mathematics. My goal is to move you beyond just memorising formulas to thinking like a genuine problem-solver.
Lesson Format & Dynamics:
1. Diagnostic First: Our first lesson is about understanding how you think about math. We'll discuss your goals, review your current work, and identify any foundational gaps or sticking points. From there, we build a clear, personalised learning plan.
2. Collaborative Problem-Solving: A typical lesson is not a lecture. It's an interactive workshop. We will work through challenging problems together. I use a digital whiteboard, and I will ask you to explain your thought process to me. This "show-me-your-thinking" method is the fastest way to build confidence and pinpoint misconceptions.
3. Real-World Application (My "Why"): This is where my experience as an engineer and data analyst comes in. I don't just teach the "how"; I obsess over the "why." If we are learning calculus, I'll show you how it's used to model real-world change. If we're doing statistics, I'll connect it to the data analysis I've done professionally. This makes the math "stick" because it's no longer just abstract theory—it's a powerful tool.
My Experience as Your Advantage:
As a certified "Train of Trainer" (TOT) who has trained over 200 engineers, I am a professional communicator. I know how to break down the most complex, intimidating topics into clear, logical, and manageable steps. I am patient, encouraging, and skilled at adapting my teaching style to your specific way of learning.
My lessons are a judgment-free zone where all questions are welcome. My aim is simple: to help you build the skills and confidence to solve any math problem, not just the ones in our session.
