I am an experienced and student-focused educator with more than ten years of teaching experience across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. My teaching approach combines academic rigour with practical application, helping students understand not only theoretical concepts but also how these concepts are applied in real-world business and financial contexts.
I use a range of teaching methods, including lectures, case studies, class discussions, practical exercises, research-based activities and contemporary examples. I encourage students to ask questions, participate actively and develop their own views rather than relying only on textbook knowledge. My aim is to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to contribute and seek support when needed.
My teaching experience covers accounting, finance, corporate finance, investment analysis, research methods and dissertation supervision. I have taught students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds and have experience supporting students with different levels of prior knowledge and ability. Alongside teaching, I have undertaken programme leadership, module leadership and other academic coordination responsibilities, which have strengthened my understanding of curriculum design, assessment and student support.
My key qualities as an educator are clarity, patience, approachability, fairness and adaptability. I try to explain complex concepts in a simple and structured way and provide constructive feedback that helps students understand how they can improve. I also encourage independent learning, critical thinking and analytical skills.
Overall, I see teaching as more than delivering subject knowledge. My objective is to help students develop confidence, academic independence and professional skills that will support them both during their studies and in their future careers.
