Hello I'm Ahmad, a GCSE Maths and Science tutor. I hope to help students with both their confidence levels as well as their grades.

Lessons are on a 1-to-1 basis typically 60 minutes and conducted online via video call. At the beginning of each new topic I like to asses students at the level they're actually at, to avoid wasting time either going over topics which have already been conquered or going too quick over new material.

When explaining exam questions, I break them down into smaller steps in order to focus on what the markers are rewarding, Maths involves making the student actually confident with numbers and have a strategy when approaching exam questions rather than just drilling past formulas, Science involves linking all the concepts with actual real world examples, such as circuits, reactions, or the body and therefore they will make a bit of sense rather than just being remembered for the next exam. I use past paper questions throughout the lessons, explaining exactly where marks are being lost.

Every lesson is built around building genuine understanding, not just memorising formulas. In Maths, I focus on developing number confidence and clear problem-solving strategies for exam questions. In Science, I connect concepts to real-world examples, circuits, reactions, the human body, so ideas stick beyond the exam. Using past papers, I show students exactly where marks are won or lost, helping them think like an examiner. My goal is simple: stronger grades, and the confidence to back them up.
