At GCSE, I achieved 8 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s.

My approach focuses on what you will be assessed on come exam day.
Identifying points that you may have a weak foundation in and building
up that understanding through varied repetition.

This will be done through an initial assessment on papers 1, 2 & 3 and
following that, targeted practice at the most fundamental blocks of
understanding that need reinforcement - we will identify these via the
specification and I will progressively teach you until you've filled these
gaps in your understanding and can correctly answer questions assessing
that understanding.

We will repeat this for different types of questions assessing different content
again and again until we have covered the entirety of the curriculum, thereby
giving you the best chance of achieving the best result on exam day

For the Edexcel GCSE Mathematics specification, the content, what this process
would look like is doing papers 1, 2 & 3 as benchmarks, marking areas that need
better understanding, teaching being done on these areas and again checking the
specificaition content on numbers, algebra, ratio and roportion and rates of change
geometry and measures, probability, statistics to ensure preparation for exam content
and then an exam to test how we've progressed.
