2. The Main Focus: This is the core of our session. We’ll dive deep into one specific topic you’re finding challenging—be it quadratic equations, trigonometry, or circle theorems. I’ll begin by explaining the core concept clearly, breaking it down into simple, manageable steps, before we work through examples together.
3. Independent Application & Exam Technique: The real learning happens when you do it yourself. You’ll then try a similar problem, explaining your reasoning to me as you go. This is where we hone your exam technique, focusing on how to structure answers, pick up crucial method marks, and avoid common pitfalls.

Interactive and Student-Led Dynamics

This isn’t a lecture; it’s a dialogue. My teaching philosophy is centred on you. I create a safe, patient, and encouraging environment where no question is a silly question. We will use a digital whiteboard, which allows for dynamic, colourful explanations and problem-solving that we can both contribute to in real-time. You’ll share your screen, and we’ll work through problems collaboratively. This approach helps me to pinpoint your exact stumbling blocks—is it a misunderstanding of the concept, or a simple arithmetic error?—and address it immediately.
