Lessons will be tailored to each student with an emphasis on developing skills such as problem-solving and accuracy. Each lesson will be relevant to the exam board specification (Edexcel) with personalised focus on students' weaknesses, helping them to become more confident in their mathematical abilities.

I am an A-level Mathematics student, predicted A* with achieved 9 at GCSE. I understand how the Edexcel exam board works and will help students improve in their exam performance. I will help to explain tricky concepts in simple ways so that students can perform well in their exams.

Lessons will involve detailed explanations of formulae and mathematical concepts followed by worked examples with the tutor. Students will be able to use their knowledge in questions - first to build up foundational skills and then to apply them in unfamiliar contexts. This will help make students more comfortable with exam-style questions so they are ready for their GCSE/A-level examinations.

Closer to exam/mock season, a special emphasis will be placed on answering the more abstract, higher-mark questions and on perfecting exam technique. This will involve past paper walkthroughs and topics that are frequently assessed. Furthermore, attention will be brought to common mistakes that students make that cost them valuable marks. Examiner reports will also be utilised to see how students across the country performed on these questions and see where improvement can be made.

Maths does not need to be a difficult subject and, as your tutor, I will help to show that it can be fun!
