Hello! I am a mathematics and science tutor who is currently a Neuroscience student in my second year, transitioning into my third year. This academic journey makes me an asset in terms of subject knowledge and the practical application of that knowledge into skills for the subjects I teach. On a daily basis, I have to apply various advanced mathematical concepts to aspects of my university work, including laboratory work, statistical analysis, and case studies—particularly in psychological statistical studies where concepts like ANOVAs and SPSS data are regularly applied.
I have a strong background in mathematics GCSE alongside a completed Access to HE Course (which is equivalent to completing two years of A-Levels in just 9 months) covering extensive Chemistry and Biology formulas. This intense background makes me highly competent and knowledgeable regarding generic scientific principles. Due to my excellent GCSE grades and being well-read on these subjects, I understand how to handle deep academic pressure. As a neuroscience student, there is a very high emphasis on additional reading and applying skills, as it is a deeply integrated subject encompassing all three sciences (biology, chemistry, and physics) alongside a heavy emphasis on mathematics.
I am excellent at problem-solving and possess proficient interpersonal skills, high patience, intense concentration, and high resilience. I am highly adaptable to each individual learner's needs and can help enhance their practical skills. Together, we can work on any obstacles or barriers to your learning by building pragmatic solutions. I like helping people progress as this reflects my personal values of respect for others and empowering other people to succeed and progress successfully within their lives.
