I have tutored many students of varying abilities from A Level to degree level, and with each student I have found it most effective to assess their individual learning style and to tailor the sessions accordingly.

My tutoring sessions may take many forms, for example, I may teach a new topic and relate it to familiar ones, or I many propose an exam-style problem and give you guidance and feedback on your method.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Physics (with Honours) and the most important thing I've learned is that it's not what you know, it's how you think.

I am a firm believer in the Socratic method, that the most effective way to learn is to ask a student questions to clarify and focus their thought process, ultimately to teach them how to think independently and break problems down into manageable tasks. This is much more important than blind memorisation.

I offer as much or as little tutoring as the student needs in order to maximise their success.
