My lessons are flexible yet organized, according to each student's requirements and goals. I usually start by splitting subjects into easily understood sections and relating ideas to actual situations through discussions and examples.
To help students grasp the material and develop the ability to create and support their own arguments, I promote critical thinking, discussion, and evidence-based analysis. A typical session consists of a brief review of prior information, a guided exploration of new subject, and interactive exercises like case-study discussion, essay planning, and source analysis. Using my background as Sports Editor for The Student newspaper, where I frequently edited and improved contributors' writing to guarantee accuracy and clarity, I also offer helpful criticism on written work.
Overall I make sure the student is interested in what I am helping them understand and I focus on how they learn. I believe that no matter what I believe works the best, the students have their own habits and tricks that work for them no matter the age.
