This is a whole new career move for me. I have never taught English before, whether in person or online, but I have been advised that this is a wise direction I should go in, due to my being articulate and well-spoken, thus mostly easy to understand from the perspective of foreigners with a weak grasp of the language. I myself am well-travelled, having been born and raised in other parts of the world before I was five years old, and I have some other experience of living abroad. Whether you are from Europe, Africa, Asia or South America, I will do all that I can to help you improve your spoken and written level of beginner’s English, and help you to become extra confident in a short space of time. All ages welcome, as well as all backgrounds of any kind. And if you have any fascinating stories to share, even better. As for the structure of each lesson, these can involve verbs and their proper usage, before moving swiftly to simple conversational terms and ultimately common expressions or figures of speech. Unless necessary, there will be no citing of examples of published plays or literature - best to keep each lesson or group of lessons as simple as possible, for everybody’s sake. But use of DVDs or audio and video files is encouraged, assuming this is permitted. At the end of each class, feel free to discuss how you are finding it and if any aspect needs improving.
