I actually love to combine three types of teaching methods which includes the learners centered method, the teachers centred method, content- focused and interactive participative method. The reason for adopting the three methods is that, it will allow me to know more about my students, it will also give me the opportunity to know whether effective teaching has taken place because there will be room for feedback. In any good teaching and learning environment, feedback is the most important criteria that cannot be ignored. I also love using teaching aid or instructional materials because it allows learners to remember what they are taught better than teaching them in abstract. As a trained tutor, been patient with students is another important virtue that I possess because we have students with different family background, I always try to study them in order to know how to approach them.
As a teacher, I always love to prepare ahead of my class by preparing my lesson plan, mastering my teaching aids, setting my objectives and itemizing strategy of achieving the set objectives. Furthermore, I always allow my students to ask questions at the end of each lesson. Giving appropriate assignment to my students is another way of getting my feedback on each of my lesson. I also ensure the assignment are mark. I also love to motivate my students that are always participating in class activities and doing and submitting their assignment at the appropriate time in order to encourage them and others. Thanks
