Welcome! I am Abi, an online business English tutor who helps professionals and business owners communicate clearly and confidently in English.

My background is in business. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Management and Strategy from Aston University and have worked in marketing, account management and business consulting, so I know the English people need at work: writing clear emails, speaking up in meetings, presenting ideas, handling client conversations and explaining what they do with confidence. I also hold a Level 5 TEFL qualification, so my lessons are built on sound teaching methods as well as fluent English.

What my lessons are like

Before we begin, we talk about your goals and what you need English for. I then plan each lesson around you, using your own emails, presentations, job descriptions or business ideas wherever possible, so you practise the exact language you will use.

Lessons are friendly, practical and relaxed. You will speak a lot, and I will give clear, kind feedback on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and tone. I can set short tasks between lessons if you would like to progress faster.
