I am currently tutoring year 11 students in GCSE Maths and year 8 students in basic maths skills. I have also successfully passed my 11+ (2019) and have the skills required to help students achieve successful marks in any section of the 11+ (although I specialise in Maths). I tested above average in every skill set for my CATS in 2020 and achieved in my GCSES. I achieved a Gold certificate in the Intermediate Maths Challenge in 2024 (I am waiting on my results for the 2025 Senior UKMT).
I take Physics, Biology, Maths and Further Maths at A-level at a top grammar school in Marlow.
I fundamentally believe that the best way to improve students Maths skills is through active practise using exam questions and will be working though questions showing them the most effective methods to get full marks in any questions thrown at them. However, it is important that students understand the theory behind the questions they are given so I will explain the reasoning behind my methods.
I am also open to teaching Science up to GCSE level (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) and English Literature and Language up to a GCSE level as I have experience tutoring Year 9-10 students in these subjects. I have excellent communication skills and due to my younger age and recent success in my examinations, I believe I can better help students achieve the grades they deserve as I know the content in a more modern sense and can relate it to what they will be expected to know now- not 20 years ago.
