My lessons are designed to be clear, structured, and tailored specifically to each student’s needs and learning style. I begin by assessing the student’s current understanding of the topic and identifying any gaps or areas of difficulty. This helps me create personalized lesson plans that focus on strengthening fundamentals while gradually introducing more complex concepts.
I use a mix of explanations, practical examples, and problem-solving exercises to make maths accessible and enjoyable. I believe that understanding the ‘why’ behind concepts is just as important as learning how to apply formulas or procedures. Therefore, I encourage questions throughout the lesson to ensure students grasp the underlying principles, not just the surface techniques.

My experience includes informal tutoring of fellow sixth form students, where I helped them improve their confidence and grades by breaking down challenging topics into manageable parts. Additionally, my strong academic background in maths and physics, combined with my hands-on experience in STEM settings like BAE Systems, has given me a deep understanding of the subject matter and an ability to communicate complex ideas simply.

I am patient and adaptable, always ready to change my teaching approach based on the student’s pace and feedback. Whether preparing for GCSE or A-Level exams, or just building foundational skills, my goal is to empower students to become independent learners who enjoy maths and feel confident tackling problems on their own.
