My learning techniques differ with each student. I approach with simple constructive activities to process how their brain works and where they are working at. I try a variety of teaching methods and adapt to the students preferred learning methods. I mainly focus on making learning fun for students instead of a chore this assists students to open their mind to learning and progress through lessons and mocks easily.
I am happy with teaching these subjects at GCSE level: English literature - online and in person Biology - online and in person Chemistry - online and in person History - online and in person Catering - practical in person lessons only
Academic lessons Lessons are first about learning the information and understanding the concepts in depth. Then we learn techniques and formats to construct essays. Then we develop ideas using brainstorms. Using all the information, techniques, formats and ideas this then acquires the student with the skills and tools needed to achieve their desired grade.
My teaching also support assisting with homework and assignments. I also encourage students to study on their own behalf using some lesson time to create revision resources helpful to them.
Practical lessons- (catering) First health and safety in a kitchen must be taught. Then a student proceeds to learning how to make simple meals/desserts of their choosing. Then student learns all about the cooking techniques and the range of skill required. The student then begins to refine their skills learning each technique by making dishes that require a certain technique. Student understand how to make all meals/desserts appeal to all senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, touch. Student through each dish learns various ways to make food look presentable in a professional perspective.
