Newtons 3 laws in order A body remains at rest, or in motion at a constant speed in a straight line, unless acted upon by a force. When a body is acted upon by a force, the time rate of change of its momentum equals the force. If two bodies exert forces on each other, these forces have the same magnitude but opposite directions.

Newton gave three laws of motion to define motion of a body with respect to forces acting on it . 1.The first law also called as law of inertia states that if a body is at rest (not moving ) or is moving in a straight line with constant speed will continue to stay at rest or keep moving until and unless acted upon by an external force . 2.the second law of motion states that rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the force applied on the body . 3.The third law which states every action has an equal and opposite reaction and this means that when two bodies interact they apply forces to each other which are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction
