For example, if it says 0.5kj/h, would I do it like this: =1000j/1kj x 1h/3600s= 500j/3600s?

0,5kj/h=500j/3600s since 1kj=1000j and 1h=3600s

Yes, you are on the right track! When converting units to the International System (SI), you need to use conversion factors that relate the original units to the desired units. For example, if you are given 0.5 kJ/h and you want to convert it to SI units (J/s), you would use the following conversion factors: 1 kJ = 1000 J (since "kilo" means 1000) 1 h = 3600 s (since there are 3600 seconds in an hour) To convert 0.5 kJ/h to J/s, you would multiply by the conversion factors as follows: 0.5 kJ/h x 1000 J/kJ x 1 h/3600 s = 0.1389 J/s Therefore, 0.5 kJ/h is equivalent to 0.1389 J/s in SI units.

Hai Don Pepito, It is very simple, every unit has its equivalent of international system. You need to multiply that equivalent with the units which you have, then you will get the required units in international system. Hope it would help you. Thank you.

You are doing it right. But you can make it simpler by reducing one step in following way: Write 1kj = 1000 j And 1 h = 3600 sec. Therefore you can write 0.5kj/h directly as 0.5 x 1000j/3600s
