I feel like I heard this somewhere so I´m not entirely unsure whether it´s true. If it is true, why is it unlucky?

It’s basically an old theatre superstition. People believe that saying “Macbeth” inside a theatre (unless you’re actually performing it) brings bad luck. The idea comes from the rumour that Shakespeare used real witchcraft spells in the play, which supposedly “cursed” it.
Over the years, loads of productions have had random accidents, injuries, or disasters linked to them, which kept the superstition going. That’s why actors usually play it safe and call it “The Scottish Play” instead.
