There are to ways to achieve that. First get a tutor to talk with him at least 3 times a week. Secondly, when you have the chance travel to a country that English is their formal language. You will start speaking without even noticing!

Hi Michelle, unlike learning your first language, when you learn a second language later in life you are predominantly exposed to written text (unless you are taking part in an immersion language program) and therefore you master these skills first. Speaking, on the other hand, takes more courage to develop. You are out of your comfort zone and this may pose a challenge. I suggest listening to radio to get your ear used to the sounds and help you pick up different sounds. Get together in a group of friends and speak English even if for 30 minutes a day. If none of your friends are available you can use technology. When you read English list vocabulary you'd like to practice and write the words down on flashcards. You can also record yourself speaking sentences with these words. I also think a mindset change from perfection to communication is needed. Mistakes are ok, that is how we learn. Good luck with your learning!

One helpful tip is to practice speaking with speakers or language exchange partners. You can also try watching English movies or TV shows, listening to English music, and repeating phrases out loud to work on pronunciation. Another idea is to record yourself speaking and then listen back to identify areas for improvement. Keep practicing, and you'll see progress over time!

Hi Michelle,
Improving any foreign language requires consistent practice and engagement. Improve your skills by participating in group conversations with friends, reading English books or magazines, working in environments where English is frequently used, watching movies, or listening to music and podcasts. To raise your proficiency to a professional level, especially in speaking, regular practice with a qualified tutor can be highly beneficial.

When I was learning English, I used to do skits. I would choose a TV series that I enjoy and repeat after the actors. So If I wanted to become more fluent in conversational English, I would watch "Friends," for example. To this day, I use some phrases and lines from the show.
